I have used technology in my class in a variety of ways, from low tech in the form of an overhead, to PowerPoint presentations. In 7th and 8th grade, our teachers give the students a opportunity to do a lot of research and over the two years I have been teaching, I have noticed the student become much more familiar with the internet and ways to use it to their advantage. In my class I often work with students who are having trouble researching a topic or finding different ways to display the information they have found.

I integrate technology in my classroom with the use of laptops. There's a set of 25 laptops available, and I create lessons for the students on microsoft excel. I present math content through power point presentations which are projected onto a screen by a lcd projector. I would like to set up a school notes account so that students are able to refer to websites and homework assignments online.

Because technology is a major part of my curriculum, I make a point to incorporate it into my daily lessons. Students use the internet for research and I also provide them with their literature book on-line. Powerpoint is a wonderful tool that my students use for presenations and for animated thier stories. Also, I use technology for my teaching practices. Instead of only using the board, I use a LCD projector and powerpoint to provide my students with notes. Overall, technology is a major aspect of my classroom.

One way I recently use technology was to have the kids paly an online simulation about WWI. The site kept score for the teams and they really enjoyed exploring.
Another way I use technology is by using my LCD projector. I use this almost every day to make conections to my lesson. One of the sources I use is United Streaming. It has so many great short video clips that help teach the topic. They also have lesson plans and other ideas to use. Another way I recently used tech. way by video taping my classes for a student in the hospital. I recorded all my lesson and then burned them into i movies and sent them to his e mail. I use technology in the classroom to assess my students in a creative way. I used a PowerPoint template (in which I created)as a culminating activity to see if they understood the novels that they read.

I have used technology in my classroom in a few different ways. When I do research projects with my students I set them up on particular websites to find information about the topic. I have also used game and practice websites for my students to improve their skills. Starfall.com is one of my favorites.

I love Trackstar (http://trackstar.4teachers.org). It's a great way to give students access to a bunch of websites on a topic in one space. Students can just click on links, instead of having to type in lots of long, confusing URLs.

Now that I teach first grade, I have been able to incorporate more technology. Weekly, the students use the school laptops or computer lab to review math skills through our math program. I also have the students use Stationary Studio to write some of their writer's workshop stories. The students also enjoy using the poetry links and read along links through out school's website during silent reading time.

Pedometers are the way to go in gym! Logging their scores into the computer and tracking the steps, converting into miles, is exciting for the students. Then they can "travel" around the map to different destinations.

I use technology in the foods kitchens by showing demonstrations of how to prepare food items. It works as a camera and projects on the screen as I work. I also take each of the classes the the computer lab at least once or twice a semester for projects on the web, such as webquests and essay papers. Through U-Tube, I can show the students demonstrations that are beyond my skill levels as well.

I use technology in the classroom in many ways. When I teach my students the beginning vocabulary for each chapter of study I demonstrate how to find the words, pictures, and translations on various internet websites. When I know that each student is comfortable with the words, we move on. Another way that I integrate technology into the classroom is by doing many powerpoint presentations. I do many creative projects and have the students send me all of their projects by email. I then compile all of the projects together and we view them as a class. Sometimes I even videotape the students doing their presentations and use a webcam to display it to other teachers in the district.

I try to use technology in my classroom everyday. I use PowerSchool to take attendance everyday.
I have my students type their own stories during our Writer's Workshop time using Microsoft Word. They are then able to,go online and use sites such as Nettrekker to find images for their stories.
Each year we complete a 3rd grade animal report by using microsoft word, numerous websites to look up information and get pictures, and use different drawing programs to make the cover for their report.
I use a wonderful site about Colonial Williamsburg during our Pioneer study. It allows my students to see re-enactment videos of jobs/activities during the Pioneer time

First graders love to use the computer at school and at home. Starfall is one of their favorite sites. We often visit reading A to Z.
United streaming is another favorite site.

I use technology in many ways in my classrom. First, my class uses laptops on a consistent basis to type documents, create PowerPoints, etc. Next, we use a JeePardy game to review before social studies tests. This game was made through PowerPoint, and I project the game onto the overhead screen from a laptop while the class participates in the game. Another way I use technology is incorporating United Streaming to support lessons I teach in the classroom.

As a technology teacher in a k-8 school, I try to use technology to reinforce what the students are learning in the classroom. Some of our favorite activities include: using Worldbook online to research, creating webs with Kidspiration, making an M&M graph in Excel, and using Dance Mat Typing (online) to learn keyboarding.
