I use technology in my classroom mostly with the students working on educatonal software programs on the computer. The students also use Word when they write their Young Author stories and they want to publish them on the computer.
I use technology in the classroom by allowing the students to log on to Starfall.com to help reinforce phonemic awareness, phonics, and reading skills. We also do interactive activities using the SmartBoard. I use the Elmo to project information that will be used as a shared reading or writing activity.
I incoporate the use of technology on a daily basis during whole group lessons, through the use of the SMART Board, lap top computer, and Projector. In addition, the students are allowed computer time at centers in which they have the opportunity to play interactive games that align with our current objective(s).
I use technology in ny clss almost everyday. My students log on to study island to take quizzes.I use thinkcentral.com alot because our textbook materials are available on this site. We use Jefferson County schools' power points to review and introduce reading topics.
I use technology all the time in the classroom! I love my SMARTboard, and I encourage my students to use quizlet.com, my.hrw.com, and various webquests to explore on their own. Thanks to this class, I will be trying Toondoo.com in the coming week, too! I enjoy making movies and short videos for my students to practice new vocabulary or to show pictures and words of sorts. Technology is fantastic!
Honestly I don't have much opportunity to do so. I do use powerpoints, but that is the extent of my access currently. I would really like to have more access, and hopefully as time goes on I will.
As a Principal, I use technology when providing my staff with in-service and/or training. The integration of technology allows for my staff to become more interested in the training and provides opportunity for them to see how important technology is to getting and keeping students attention.
I integrate technology by using the internet and having students go into the internet when they are in the language or computer lab. I also use a document camera to project images from my desk onto the whiteboard and sometimes, I use the computer and projector to project word documents, internet websites, videos, and Power Points.
I use a classroom blog, Edmodo. I have also used Glogster to create poster projects. I have a SmartBoard and I like to use the Smart Response clickers to encourage interaction.
I have my students go on switchzoo.com to create their own zoo animals. We use this as a springboard to invent their own zoo animal in a writing assignment.
I also use spellingcity.com a lot for my students to practice their spelling words at home and at school. Many of the games are free, and I can enter in my own personalized spelling lists for them to use so they are practicing their exact spelling list for the week.
I find that I use word processors most often in my classroom as a way to integrate technology. My students are constantly creating assignments, both big and small, using a word processor.
I feel that I use technology more in my classroom now than I've ever done in the past. I have a SmartBoard and use it throughout the school day. We are constantly using the internet for activities, research, videos, and as a learning tool. The students are frequently interacting with the SmartBoard and I use it as a visual tool to enhance lessons. I also communicate via email with staff and parents.
